KAMBO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes, it is legal in Portugal and in almost all countries around the world.

No, Kambo is not psychoactive and does not cause visions or hallucinations.

I, Louise, lead the ceremony and administer the Kambo. I have been trained and certified with a high level of rigor in overseeing the administration of Kambo. Before the Kambo practice, I always ask participants to fill out a questionnaire to ensure their suitability for the session.

Kambo is generally not painful, but the experience is intense, and physical discomfort can be strong for 20 to 40 minutes (nausea, purging, heat, sweating).

This greatly depends on each person’s goals and the results of previous ceremonies. For some, one ceremony will suffice, but generally, there will be greater benefit from doing a series with varying intervals between each session.
Traditionally, it is recommended, if possible, to do 3 ceremonies within a 28-day lunar cycle. It is also interesting, for deeper work, to do these 3 ceremonies in 3 consecutive days, especially the first time receiving Kambo.

Physical preparation:

No solid food for 6-8 hours prior
No water for 2 hours prior
No coffee, alcohol, or other stimulants for 24 hours prior
If you take regular medication or drugs, you must report this in the health
questionnaire that all participants must fill out beforehand. I will advise you based on your case.

Yes, I offer the possibility of booking remote consultations to continue the work done in the Kambo sessions. I am available to discuss any questions you have, I do not provide medical or psychological advice. To schedule an appointment, please contact me.

In the days leading up to the ceremony, favor moments of introspection, meditation. Aim to clarify and establish why you want to receive Kambo. If it resonates with you, you may also connect with the spirit of Kambo through prayers or offerings to nature, by visiting ponds, lakes, or rivers.

Kambo and its use are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. For that, please always consult your doctor. The Kambo ritual offered by Kambo Dimension has no therapeutic aim. When Kambo is referred to as medicine, it is never western medicine or the Portugues medical system but only traditional tribal medicine used by indigenous people in that context. I provide Kambo safely as a trained and qualified practitioner, solely to help you experience the traditional indigenous ritual. Kambo should not be approached lightly, nor in ignorance or disregard of contraindications and your own safety. Please do not neglect clinical diagnoses, conventional medical practices, tests, assessments, and procedures that may have been recommended to you by your doctor.
